1 A topo map dated 1955 shows Mt Isto at 9060, and a more recent one dated 1983 shows Mt Isto at 8975.
The map that shows Mt Chamberlin at 9020 is dated 1956, but there is no more recent map. It is suspected that,
if there were a more recent map of Chamberlin, it too would lose approximately the same amount of elevation as
Mt Isto did due to the more recent map. Therefore, many peakbaggers consider it a possibility that Isto is
higher than Chamberlin (and steals its prominence), even though the most recent Chamberlin map shows
Chamberlin higher than the most recent Isto map shows Isto.
